The Critical Care is staffed with Intensivists duly trained for “Poison Control in South East Asian Regional Organisation (SEARO) Countries” by the World Health Organization (WHO), and equipped to manage any kind of acute poisoning or envenomation (snake bites, scorpion bites, etc.).
The Centre manages all kinds of insecticides / pesticides poisoning as well, along with provision of antidotes, as these kinds of poisoning are very rampant in this part of the country. The victims are managed by a specialised team by providing multi-organ life support system.
